17 Herinneringe / 17 Memories (2012) | Ink & digital graphic novel

This (auto/bio)graphic novel traces seventeen memories from my childhood in South Africa, with specific reference to 'Mikie' Keikantsemang Machogo, our live-in domestic worker.

It touches on life in post-apartheid South Africa, and deals with issues of memory and agency.

This formed part of my MA in Visual Arts, Stellenbosch University.
